What is a Qualified Credentialed Inspector?

The Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI) is a designated person who has completed the required initial training and refresher Qualified Credentialed Inspection Program (QCIP) training. The person designated as the QCI must hold a valid certification from a Department-approved cooperating training entity. The QCI must be familiar with erosion and sediment controls and certified to conduct inspections for the site. The QCI must renew the certification if there is an employer change.

Who is eligible to be a QCI?

A permittee, operator, owner, LLC member, LLP partner, QCP, and/or a full-time employee of the permittee, operator, and/or owner, or QCP, are eligible to be a QCI.
