Public Information Requests

Our public-records policy

It is the policy of the executive branch of the State of Alabama to promptly provide citizens with public records upon request, subject to their payment of reasonable fees, to applicable laws protecting sensitive information, and to the interest of the general public in having the business of government carried on efficiently and without undue interference.

Water Quality

ADEM administers a number of programs related to the State's surface water quality. These programs include:

Recycling Workshops in Birmingham and Huntsville Rescheduled Due to Weather

The ADEM Recycling Workshops sheduled for Wednesday, January 12th at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens and in Huntsville Thursday, January 13th at the University of Alabama - Huntsville have been cancelled due to weather and travel-related issues. Existing registered attendees will be notified by telephone and email. The workshops will be rescheduled and all attendees will be contacted with new dates and locations when secured.
