General Information
The visible emissions certification program includes two annual "smoke schools" in April and October for regulatory personnel, consultants, and the regulated community. It certifies participants on federal visible emissions determinations. The program features a two-hour online lecture followed by an exam and a two-day in person field training. Lecture certification lasts three years, while field certification is valid for six months.
