Information Concerning Water Quality Modeling
Sanitary Sewer Overflows are required to be reported electronically via the Alabama Environmental Permitting and Compliance System (AEPACS) at:
https://aepacs.adem.alabama.gov/nviro/ncore/external/home
If AEPACS is down (i.e., electronic submittal of SSO data cannot be completed due to technical problems originating with the Department’s system), SSO reports should be filed within the required timeframe via an alternate method, preferably via the SSO hotline at
(334) 274-4200. Within five calendar days of AEPACS resuming operation, those SSOs reported via the alternate method should be entered into AEPACS. For any alternate notification, records of the date, time, notification method, and person submitting the notification should be maintained.
