Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Roundabout Towing, LLC, which operates a business located at 159 Mattox Drive (13-02-09-0-000-029.003) in Talladega, Talladega County, Alabama, where an unauthorized dump (“UAD”) and a scrap tire site (“STS”) were discovered.
The violations consisted of Roundabout Towing, LLC creating and not closing a UAD and an STS, as well as transporting scrap tires without a permit.

The Order, if issued, would require Roundabout Towing, LLC to cease and desist operating or contributing to any UADs or STSs, as well as transporting scrap tires without a department-issued permit and submit a site remediation and closure plan to the Department. This plan must outline the actions that will be taken to remove and properly dispose of regulated solid waste and scrap tires, as well as a timeline for the completion of all remediation and closure actions.
