Morgan County

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) is proposing to issue an Order to Community Action Partnership of North Alabama, Inc. – Cedar Lake Crossing, located on Cedar Lake Road, in the City of Decatur, Morgan County, Alabama.

The violations consisted of: Effective BMPs had not been implemented and/or maintained; Noncompliant discharge from dewatering activities due to the pumping of turbid water offsite. Noncompliance with the requirements of ADEM NPDES construction stormwater rules.

The order, if issued, would require the operator to: correct all violations; implement and maintain effective BMPs; pay a civil penalty in the amount of $6,100.

The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice. Copies are also available at a cost as shown in ADEM Admin. Code r.335-1-1-.06(6).
