Lower High Falls, Talladega Forest - Bill Wilson
ADEM & Brownfields

The Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) believes strongly in the Brownfields Program and is committed to becoming a national leader in brownfields information and development.

With the passage of the Brownfields law, funds were made available to the Environmental Protection Agency for grant awards to states and tribes for activities under Section 128 (a). This funding is being used for the establishment and enhancement of the State Brownfields programs which will allow ADEM to develop a Brownfields inventory, establish a public record, and perform assessment activities. ADEM is working closely with many local, regional, and state groups to achieve these commitments.

ADEM has established a Brownfields 128(a) public record on this site to make information more readily available to the public. The following link will access a spreadsheet that identifies the Brownfields activities performed by ADEM. As this page is updated, individual site reports will be made available by clicking on the link / site name to access complete information on the Brownfields Site.
