PROPOSED CONSENT ORDER
Talladega County
Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue a Consent Order to the City of Talladega (Talladega Brecon WWTP), NPDES Permit Number AL0022349, located at 525 Welch Avenue, Talladega, Talladega County, Alabama.
The violations noted in the Consent Order consist of failure to monitor in accordance with the Permit, effluent limitation violations, and failure to submit noncompliance notification reports.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $10,000. The Order, if issued, would require the City of Talladega to submit an Engineering Report, submit Progress Reports, submit a certification of compliance, and comply with all Permit conditions.
Interested persons may submit written comments, including request for a hearing, within 30 days of the publication date of this notice, to:

The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice. This notice is hereby given this 22nd day of November, 2023, by authorization of the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
