PROPOSED CONSENT ORDER
Tuscaloosa County
Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue a Consent Order to Northport WWTP, NPDES Permit Number AL0064394, located at 3950 3rd Street South, Northport, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
The violations noted in the Consent Order consist of effluent permit limitation violations, failure to meet the requirements for representative sampling, and unpermitted discharges in the form of Sanitary Sewer Overflows.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $14,500. The Order, if issued, would require the City of Northport to submit an Engineering Report, submit Progress Reports, submit a certification of compliance, and comply with all Permit conditions.
Interested persons may submit written comments, including request for a hearing, within 30 days of the publication date of this notice, to:
