            Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to ADEM Administrative Code r. 335-6-11-.01(3), a public hearing before the Alabama Department of Environmental Management will be held on August 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Main Hearing Room at the ADEM – Central Office location at 1400 Coliseum Boulevard in Montgomery.

            The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public an opportunity to comment on water quality standards for Alabama waters. The Alabama Department of Environmental Management is soliciting public input and comments on current rules of ADEM Administrative Code chapter 335-6-10, Water Quality Criteria, and chapter 335-6-11, Use Classifications for Surface Waters.

The public hearing is being held to receive data, views and arguments from interested persons regarding the existing rules. Attendance at the hearing is not necessary to present such data, views, arguments, or comments as the same may be submitted in writing, but must be received by the Hearing Officer prior to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
