PROPOSED CONSENT ORDER

Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Kinston Water Works, which operates a facility located at Kinston in Coffee County, Alabama.
The violation(s) consisted of the Alabama Safe Drinking Water Act, Code of Alabama (1975) §§ 22-23-30 through 22-23-53, as amended and the ADEM Administrative Code of Regulation (hereinafter "ADEM" Admin. Code R" promulgated pursuant thereto for the facility mentioned above.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $1700.00. The Order, if issued, would require Mayor C. Heflin Smith to comply with ADEM Admin r. 335-7-14.
Interested persons may submit written comments, including a request for a hearing, within 30 day of the publication date of this notice to:
