Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Technip USA, Inc., which operates a facility located in Theodore, Mobile County, Alabama.

The violation(s) for the facility mentioned above consisted of: failure to determine if waste generated by its pipeline coating operation was hazardous, failure to obtain an EPA Identification number prior to offering hazardous waste for transportation, and failure to properly dispose of the aforementioned hazardous waste stream.

The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $90,000.00. The Order, if issued, would require Technip USA, Inc. to take actions to prevent the recurrence of the violations noted above and to operate in compliance with all applicable requirements of the ADEM Administrative Code, Division 14.
