Notice is hereby given that a hearing before the Department of Environmental Management of the State of Alabama will be held on November 9, 2011, at 11:00 am in the Main Hearing Room at the ADEM - Central Office location at 1400 Coliseum Boulevard. in Montgomery, for the purpose of establishing a new Division of the ADEM Administrative Code entitled "Division 335-17, Medical Waste Program" to replace the current definitions in Division 335-13-1-.03 and rules in 335-13-7 regarding the ADEM medical waste program. The proposed Division 335-17 will create a separate medical waste rule from the solid waste program. Chapter 335-13-1-.03 is also being amended to add definitions resulting from passage of Alabama Law 2011-258 regarding management and disposal of coal combustion residues and ashes.
