PROPOSED ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
Lee County
Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to David Brickhouse for failure to close a scrap tire site and an unauthorized dump site located at located at 1275 Blakney Road (Parcel No. 431209320000001.000, 43120320000002.000, and 431209320000003.000) in Salem, Lee County, Alabama.
The violations consisted of David Brickhouse creating and not properly closing a scrap tire site and unauthorized dump site.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $16,500. The Order, if issued, would require David Brickhouse to cease and desist the operation of the scrap tire site and unauthorized dump site, and to submit an abatement plan to the Department. This plan would require the removal and proper disposal of all regulated wastes, and a schedule for abatement completion.

The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice.
