PROPOSED ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER
Morgan County
Pursuant to the provisions of the Alabama Environmental Management Act, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management is proposing to issue an Order to Guy and Margaret Cook for failure to close an Unauthorized Dump site located at 150 Langley Private Drive in Hartselle, Morgan County, Alabama.
The violations consisted of Guy and Margaret Cook creating and not properly closing an Unauthorized Dump site.
The Department is proposing a civil penalty in the amount of $6,000. The Order, if issued, would require Guy and Margaret Cook to cease and desist the operation of the scrap tire site, and to submit an abatement plan to the Department. This plan would require the removal and proper disposal of all regulated wastes, and a schedule for abatement completion.
Interested persons may submit written comments, including a request for a hearing, within 30 days of the publication date of this notice to:

The comment period shall end at the close of business 30 days from the publication date of this notice.
